Stroller Strides® is a functional, total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with kids in tow. Each 60-minute workout is comprised of strength training, cardio and core restoration, all while entertaining the little ones with songs, activities and fun! Each Stroller Strides® instructor is skilled to meet you where you are mentally & physically. You’ll leave class feeling connected, successful & energized. This class is all about self care in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Stroller Barre® is a 60-minute cardio and strength interval class designed to improve posture, stability, and mobility. This workout combines moves inspired by barre, ballet, Pilates, fitness, and yoga to help you regain posture and alignment while strengthening your body from the inside out. Stroller Barre® will help you reconnect with your body, increase flexibility and develop the core strength needed for motherhood.
Plenty of water, towel or yoga mat, sunscreen (for outdoor classes), baby essentials including snacks and/or toys for your little one(s), comfortable walking/running shoes (both Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre are traveling classes), appropriate exercise attire, and any kind of stroller.
To meet us for outdoor Stroller Strides, park at the Piney Orchard Community Center at 2400 Stream Valley Drive. There, we gather in the grassy area visible from the parking lot. You’ll see us!
To meet us for outdoor Stroller Barre, park near Applebees at the Village at Waugh Chapel. There is a lake behind the restaurants. We gather for warm-up in the grassy area in between Applesbees and Newks.
In the cold months or in cases of extreme weather Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre meet at the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover. We meet inside the mall at the Cinemark ticket kiosks. There is plenty of parking available in front of the theatre, including a few spots reserved for expectant mothers and mommies with an infant—so convenient for many of us!
In cases of rain or extreme heat or cold, we move inside to our indoor location at Arundel Mills Mall. Follow us on Facebook, and check for updates by 8 AM. We also send notifications to our client list via email, and mark changes here on our website.
If schools are delayed or closed for the day due to weather, class will be canceled. We follow Anne Arundel County Schools for snow and ice closures. Notifications will be made on Facebook, sent via email, and posted here on our website.
You can begin attending class with your doctor's clearance to begin exercising, typically after your six week postpartum appointment. See you there, Mama!
Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancies as long as exercise has been approved by their physician. Instructors are each certified to lead our professionally-designed pre/postnatal fitness programs, each of which follows the latest American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy.
Exercise during pregnancy has proven beneficial and helps improve the following:

Self-esteem, sense of well-being
Postpartum recovery time
Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre is for moms of ALL fitness levels. We meet for a warm up, then power walk, jog, or run to each exercise station. You exercise at the pace you feel most comfortable.
Nope. Just about any kind of stroller will work for class. Single, double, umbrella, snap-and-go, whatever—you’re good! We’ve even had babywearing mamas make it work by taking out the impact of some of our cardio exercises. Join us!
At FIT4MOM Severn, your children are our priority, so don't worry if yours is fussy! Our classes are designed to keep the kids rolling and engaged by incorporating songs, games, and lots of kid interaction into our exercises. What better way to grow up than by watching Mom’s positive example!
That said, if you need to change a diaper, take a potty break, nurse, dole out snacks, or otherwise comfort your little one(s), feel free! You are in good company.
We get it. We’ve been there. Kids will have good and not-so-good days. A stroller workout will become part of your little one’s routine in no time.
Stroller classes work for women in ALL stages of motherhood! You don't need to have stroller-aged kids to come to Stroller classes. Feel free to come alone and get some much needed me time! We’ve had kids at class from six weeks to sixteen years. School-aged kids are welcome to walk.
